There are simple but effective ways that you can try doing to save or earn additional dollars. Aside from the pay that you get from your regular job, wouldn’t it be nice to find another source to earn more? It would also be great to find ways to save in various areas of your life, which also means additional cash. What’s even better is that these things aren’t too difficult to do. Here are some of the options to consider.
Sell Things You No Longer Use
If it has been a long time since you last had a general cleaning, now may be time to it again. Well, it may require effort and time, but it’s not really that too difficult to do. Plus, you’ll be hitting two birds in one stone. Not only you’ll have a cleaner, spacious and more relaxing place, but you can also sell the things that you no longer use and earn from them. If you don’t have time for a garage sale, you could do this online. Snap a photo of the items you wish to sell and upload them online. You may also use your social media account like Facebook to let people know about the things you’re selling.
Cosign Your Old Clothes and Shoes
Aside from selling them online, another option to sell your old clothes and shoes is through consignment. Find a reliable consignment store in your area and let them know that you would like to consign your items. Agree on a price or percentage of the selling price that would be given to you. They will sell your items on their store and would give you the amount you agreed upon when your items are sold. Part of the money would be given to the seller, but this is convenient as they would do the selling for you.
Increase the Amount You Put In Your Piggy Bank
Saving some spare change on your piggy bank once in a while? Make it a point to save a dollar a day or five if it wouldn’t be too heavy for you. You’ll have more savings and you’ll be amazed how much you would be able to save in the long run. A dollar or five dollars a day would turn into a big amount after months or years of saving.
Go for Banks with Higher Interest
Banks offer varying interest rates. Shop around for banks that offer the highest interest rates. Since you will be saving your money anyway, this is a great way for you to passively earn through the interest. A few percentage difference may seem not much, but if you save big amount of money and you kept it in your savings for years, the interest would add up and that would be additional dollars in your account without really doing anything extra.
Get a Credit Card with Great Cash Back or Rewards
Just as it is with banks, it’s best to shop for credit cards that offer the best rewards and cash back. When you use your credit card, you’ll earn points that you may cash out or use for other purchases. This is another easy way to earn and save money, and that’s while spending!
